Presbytera Irene Matta, MTh shares the testimony of a Franciscan monk who discovered the anathemas levelled against anyone claiming that the Apostles of Christ had equal ministries with that of the Apostle Peter. After further questioning of his own spiritual elders, he verified these incredible writings, and that they continued to be in force in the Roman Catholic Church. The ministry of St. Paul was completely denigrated, and Holy Scriptures continues to be called a book filled with "dark sayings" by RC clergy. This Franciscan monk became an Orthodox priest later in life after much study and prayer, and later was ordained Bishop Paul of the S.American Greek Orthodox Church. He ended his life in martyrdom 1984.
St. Mary the Protectress Syriac Orthodox Community is located in Plymouth, Indiana. We are a monastic community and intentional Orthodox Christian community. We believe that you can pray to end hunger, but it is not a true prayer unless you also feed those who are hungry. We seek to live the example of Christ and serve all our neighbors. We are a multi-cultural and multi-ethnic worshiping community. Services are in English.
