During the ordination of a priest his skull cap is blessed with the rest
of his priestly vestments, and after he is vested the ordaining bishop
ceremoniously places the skull cap over his head as the external sign of
his holy priesthood. Hence it is called the fruit of priesthood (Phiro
d’Kohnutho).
