We are in battle here every day, every hour, and every minute. St Mary’s is a monastic community not a church. We are under attack ever moment. Satan does not like those who pray because he knows that our prayers have far more strength and power than he does. He only has what we give him. But he does not let up on his attack. We must still the emotions and passions of this world and descend into our hearts and meet Satan In battle. This is true spiritual warfare. Monastics pray for their salvation, your salvation and the salvation of the world.
St. Mary the Protectress Syriac Orthodox Community is located in Plymouth, Indiana. We are a monastic community and intentional Orthodox Christian community. We believe that you can pray to end hunger, but it is not a true prayer unless you also feed those who are hungry. We seek to live the example of Christ and serve all our neighbors. We are a multi-cultural and multi-ethnic worshiping community. Services are in English.
