Part Three of discussion of New Testament worship as revealed by Christ to His Apostles, continuing the offering and sacred Meal concepts which He revealed to Old Israel - the offering in the NT is Christ's Humanity, offered voluntarily by the Lord to "undo" the disobedience of Adam and Eve. We offer our own humanity using His as a bridge to be acceptable to our Heavenly Father. We then, as Orthodox ("right-believing") Christians share in HIs Divine Energies flowing through His Human Nature into ours, given to Him by the Holy Theotokos and ever-Virgin Mary. Her human nature is exactly like ours (no "immaculate conception") thereby allowing our salvation to flow from Him to those of us who offer our lives to Him.
St. Mary the Protectress Syriac Orthodox Community is located in Plymouth, Indiana. We are a monastic community and intentional Orthodox Christian community. We believe that you can pray to end hunger, but it is not a true prayer unless you also feed those who are hungry. We seek to live the example of Christ and serve all our neighbors. We are a multi-cultural and multi-ethnic worshiping community. Services are in English.
