For those of you who wrote me privately asking who Paulos Mar Gregorios, the author of the previous article which appeared here was, this video will tell you about this man whose memorial was celebrated yesterday. Mar Gregorgios has a connection to Indiana where our parish is located. One of the colleges he studied at was Goshen College which is a short drive from our parish. There were visitors to our parish for yesterday's memorial.
St. Mary the Protectress Syriac Orthodox Community is located in Plymouth, Indiana. We are a monastic community and intentional Orthodox Christian community. We believe that you can pray to end hunger, but it is not a true prayer unless you also feed those who are hungry. We seek to live the example of Christ and serve all our neighbors. We are a multi-cultural and multi-ethnic worshiping community. Services are in English.
