"Whatever is due to the Church must be given forthwith. If your mind is pure in that matter, your house will also be pure. If in such things you think of any other gain or revenue, then you will lose that ten fold." So says Mor Gregorios.
Several have come to realize that they can make a difference in their friends and neighbour's lives. Several have donated computers and other equipment to the center for the employment program. There are other things we need: equipment, volunteers, food stuff, volunteers, more prayers, and funds. The utility bill needs paid soon, real soon. Without electricity the computers can not operate. Without computers, there is no employment program. Without the employment program many will have no free source to file their claims and weekly reports.
Please keep the programs of the Mor Gregorios Community Center in your prayers. We never have too many prayers. And please pray for those we serve.
And if you would like to discover how you can make a difference in someone life, email the center at monastery@synesius.com, or call the center at 574-540-2048.
May God's blessing continue to be on all we serve, and on you and your families.
St. Mary the Protectress Syriac Orthodox Community is located in Plymouth, Indiana. We are a monastic community and intentional Orthodox Christian community. We believe that you can pray to end hunger, but it is not a true prayer unless you also feed those who are hungry. We seek to live the example of Christ and serve all our neighbors. We are a multi-cultural and multi-ethnic worshiping community. Services are in English.
